Kisaan mukti march

Yesterday was the last day of the "Kisaan mukti march" program in which thousands and thousands of farmers from across India gathered to protest against the government in Delhi. This march was organized by All India Kisan sangharsh coordination commitee, a group of 200 small and large farmer groups from around the country.

This protest had two main agendas. One was to call a special parliament session of 21 days in which crisis faced by farmers should be discussed and the other one was to give higher price of their produces.
These organisers invited political parties to participate in the March and support them. This march got support from the activists and left parties. Yesterday Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal also came to the March to meet and show their support to the farmers.

These past few years have seen the growing numbers of farmers protest. And not only in Delhi, but other parts of the country as well. And now the question is that although being an agriculture based country where more than 60 percent of India's population is somehow working in agricultural field. But farmers are suffering. Why is it that farmer, the person without whom we can't survive, this country can't survive, are dying. Why they don't have enough money money to sustain a healthy and happy life. Why is it that a farmer's son or anyone don't want to be a farmer. Without the development of agriculture, our nation's development is also going to crash down.
Only making big buildings, statues, metros, malls, bullet trains will not make India a developed country. Making a balance in the society where no one suffers for food, for house, for education, for electricity will make our country a better place to live in. We will still be able to be a developed nation without these luxuries . If everyone is satisfied with what they are doing will be a true development of the nation.
And the irony is that the news channels who were doing debates day and night on when the Ram Mandir conflict is going to solve. When people will be above the politics on Ram Mandir and actually do something to make it, are not even considering this march an issue. Now they are saying that farmers are doing this march only under the instigation of some political parties.
By this logic, Ram Mandir is also an issue raised by some political parties when elections are around the corner. But farmers really are suffering. They are dying in reality. Farmer suicide is real. They don't have enough money to survive, that's the truth. So what if they are doing this march with some political parties. Just because a party is also doing this march with them, the farmers problems don't worth it, you will neglect all the farmers Who have come from every state of the country in a hope their demands will lend an ear. You will not give them a chance to be a part of your prime time debates.
I think it's our duty to talk about it because the people who are responsible to talk about it, are not doing it. I don't want their March to get unnoticed because they have come from so many places by foot. I think they deserve what they are demanding and we should help them. I know that we can't do much but talking about it and not let this protest unnoticed will help those farmers.
